A signature component of any self-respecting JRPG is the hunt for the best weapons and armor for all of your characters. Tales of Arise is no different as it contains gear that is objectively better than anything else in the game for you to craft and unlock.

How to Get the Best Weapons in Tales of Arise

Weapons in Arise are typically crafted and the strongest ones are no different. The crafting recipes, however, will only unlock when you’ve progressed towards the end of the game and in most cases beyond that. From there, it’s a simple matter of having the crafting materials necessary to make these shiny weapons.

How to Get the Best Armor in Tales of Arise

Armor in Arise is commonly found in treasure chests scattered across the world. You can also pick some up through sub-quests. The same is true for the best armor for every character. Like with weapons, the catch is that you’ll need to be in post-game territory in most cases.

Alphen

Alphen’s best weapon is called Realm Unifier and his best armor is called Heavenly Armor.

Realm Unifier

To craft this weapon, you’ll need to have cleared the main story and have loaded the same save data. From there on, you need to acquire the following materials to craft it:

• Iron Pipe – Found by completing The Mysterious Pair quest.
• Ominous Eyeball x 4 – Dropped by killing Astral Sloth in Tarfhal Helgarahi
• Cursed Claw – Dropped by killing Astral Doubt in Tarfhal Helgarahi
• Blistering Fang x 5 – Dropped by killing Furious Boar in The Otherworld (only available post-game)

Here are Realm Unifier’s stats:

• Penetration – 554

Heavenly Armor

This piece of armor is found in a chest in the Cavern of Fate Shallows in The Otherworld which is only available post-game. You’ll need a Destiny Key and to pick up the quest called Another Hillside Anomaly.

Shionne

Shionne’s best weapon is called Monochrome Spiral and his best armor is called Renas Superbia.

To craft this weapon, you’ll need to have cleared the main story and have loaded the same save data. From there on, you need to acquire the following materials to craft it:

• Rending Titanfang x 10 – Dropped by Force Wolf in Lenegis
• Gloaming Crystal x 2 – Dropped by killing Punisher in The Otherworld (only available post-game)
• Dragon Scale x 4 – Dropped by killing Ignite Dragon in The Otherworld (only available post-game)
• Granite Fragment x 2 – Dropped by killing Magmalem in Berg Volcano

Renas Superbia

This piece of armor is found in a chest in the Volcano of Renewal in The Otherworld which is only available post-game. You’ll need a Scarlet Night Key and to pick up the quest called Another Hillside Anomaly.

Rinwell

Rinwell’s best weapon is called Oblivion Ring and his best armor is called Dahnas Animus.

To craft this weapon, you’ll need to have cleared the main story and have loaded the same save data. From there on, you need to acquire the following materials to craft it:

• Mystical Luminacore x10 – Dropped by killing Blooming Roper in The Wedge
• Dark Tree Blood x4 – Dropped by killing Illuminated Roper in The Otherworld (only available post-game)
• Dark Mane x2 – Dropped by killing Force Wolf in Lenegis
• Majestic Feather x2 – Dropped by killing Astral Famine in Tarfhal Helgarahi

This piece of armor is found in a chest in the Spirit Forest Shadows in The Otherworld which is only available post-game. You’ll need a Symphony Key and to pick up the quest called Another Hillside Anomaly.

Law

Law’s best weapon is called Unyielding Braces and his best armor is called Virtuous Wolf Vest.

Unyielding Braces

Unlike other best weapons in Tales of Arise, this one is a quest reward and can’t be crafted. You need to be in the post-game in order to pick up the quest titled The Reminiscence Device in Daeq Faezol in the Lower Level. Be warned that the enemies you’ll face during this mission are level 90 and above.

Virtuous Wolf Vest
